Job summary

Adyen in San Francisco is seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to lead integrations for our largest merchants, guiding design, development, testing, and launch of scalable connections to Adyen's payments platform.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product and Engineering, own pre-sales calls, and ensure a smooth implementation lifecycle from kickoff to launch, including POS, e-commerce, marketplaces and card issuing programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience integrating and/or providing technical consultation when integrating with Web APIs.
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDKs).
• Excellent communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with high level decision makers.
• Empathetic to customer and end-user needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Identify and clearly communicate pragmatic solutions to complex integration problems.
• Navigate ambiguity and pull in the right people to move forward.

Responsibilities

• Utilize development and programming expertise to create scalable and robust merchant integrations.
• Serve as a consultative partner for e-commerce, POS, and multi-faceted platforms guiding integrations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, Product, and Engineering to deliver seamless merchant experiences and improvements.
• Oversee high-quality project delivery and maintain technical integrity of integrations.
• Provide consultation on optimizing payment solutions, checkout experiences, authentication, and omni-channel payments.
