Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Paving Superintendent to lead asphalt operations on critical infrastructure projects in Florida. You will supervise crews, coordinate with the plant, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence across the paving shift.

The role requires at least five years of paving experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication. A CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1/2 certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of paving experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level 1 and/or Level 2 certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Safety policies and procedures and promote safety first.
• Notify Operations Manager for coverage when ill.
• Oversee and coordinate activities of all team members.
• Confirm and coordinate asphalt tonnage and mix types with the plant.
• Calculate trucks required for paving and milling operations.
• Monitor truck activity and adjust staffing as needed.
• Obtain approvals for change orders and extra work from the Project Manager.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and safe on site.
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and document safety reports.
• Attend weekly operations meetings and prepare for special project requirements.
