Job summary

Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking experienced senior civil engineers in our Transportation Division, Pavement Sciences & Engineering Directorate to work full-time on pavement/geotechnical research and asset management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of pavement and/or geotechnical experience.
• Experience leading research projects independently.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; PE preferred.
• Candidates selected may be subject to a government security investigation for access to classified information.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead project work in pavement/geotechnical engineering.
• Lead and contribute to business development and marketing efforts.
• Develop winning proposals in response to RFPs in their area of expertise.
• Present research and information at conferences, training courses, industry meetings, department meetings, client meetings, etc.
