Position

The Senior Patient Care Coordinator (Ophthalmology) is responsible for providing assistance to patients in a friendly and courteous manner. The Senior Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for check-in and check-out functions, including registration and cashiering, and must maintain a neat and professional appearance and an organized work area.

Schedule & Location

Schedule (Full-Time): Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm CST

Location: 15655 Cypress Wood Medical Dr. Houston, TX

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for procedures
• Interface with patients to discuss account information and implement/monitor payments
• Contact third party carriers to verify insurance coverage, benefits, eligibility and referral authorizations
• Analyze eligibility media(s)
• Utilize various system applications for reporting purposes
• Interpret multiple medical plan benefits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
• 3+ years of general administrative experience and 2+ years of medical insurance verification experience or 2+ years of experience scheduling operative procedures OR 1+ years of experience in a Kelsey Seybold role (i.e. DSS I, ASRs, Contact Center or Member Services reps, MAs/CMAs or schedulers)

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful completion of Epic hospital charge capture and IM billing
• Strong customer service skills/experience

Compensation & Benefits

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 to $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
