Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Specialist, Patient Access - Specialty Operations to facilitate the transition of new patients to home/AIS services.

The role collaborates with Sales and clinical teams to prepare patients for services and ensure a smooth onboarding experience, with a focus on discharge coordination and documentation. Requires infusion therapy industry experience and working in Mountain or Pacific Time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Internal Candidates: 1 year experience as a Patient Registration Specialist.
• Healthcare/medical billing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engages with patient, referral source, sales, pharmacy, and nursing to coordinate discharge and secure nursing and delivery.
• Creates, communicates and obtains all required documentation for new referrals.
• Secures patient’s upfront payment including assisting patients to find avenues for payment where needed (identifies opportunities and directs patient to financial assistance program).
• Supports the ongoing activities needed to ensure clean claims on hold and denial management (follow-up on paperwork where missing).
• Assist Supervisor and Manager with special assignments as needed including acting as backup for Lead Specialist.
• Assists Lead by communicating opportunities for improvement in process and offers resolutions to present to PRM.

Job Profile Summary

The Senior Specialist, Patient Access - Specialty Operations is responsible for facilitating new patient’s transition to Option Care Health services with the goal of delivering a consistent onboarding experience where patients and referral partners feel Option Care Health makes it easy to transition care. The Senior Specialist, Patient Access - Specialty Operations works in conjunction with Sales to prepare patients for OCH services and facilitates all aspects of the patient’s transition to home/AIS. Additional responsibilities as designated by leadership inclusive but not limited to training and special projects and any additional tasks assigned by manager.

Basic Education And/or Experience Requirements

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

• Previous healthcare/medical billing experience preferred.

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $18.20-$30.32
