UCHealth is seeking a Patient Access Specialist at UCHealth Womens Care Rangewood in Colorado Springs, CO. This onsite, full-time role requires dayshift coverage with a 72-hour pay period. Compensation ranges from $19.67 to $25.57 per hour, dependent on experience.

The position focuses on receptionist, registration, and clerical duties for registering patients for services, with opportunities to contribute to a supportive patient experience within a comprehensive total rewards program.

Responsibilities

• Meets with patient and/or patient’s caregiver to exchange information and documentation; explains visit and addresses questions.
• Communicates with referring provider's office, clinical departments, and other personnel to determine schedule.
• Verifies insurance benefits and obtains pre-certification/authorization as necessary.
• Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles, or refers to financial counselors for follow up; ensures demographic, billing, and clinical info is entered accurately.
• Works in fast-paced environment with minimal supervision and uses critical thinking.
