Job summary

UCHealth University of Colorado Health in Colorado Springs is seeking an onsite Patient Access/Front Desk Clerk to schedule and register patients for appointments in the Neurosciences clinic.

This role requires accurate collection of demographics, insurance verification, and pre-visit instructions; BLS/CPR certification is required by start date. You will work in a fast-paced environment with full-time hours and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• BLS through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules appointments, follow-up appointments, and assigns visit length per physician request.
• Registers patients for medical care including laboratory, outpatient services, physician or other medical office; pre-registers when needed.
• Collects and confirms patient demographics, current employer, emergency contact information, and insurance.
• Verifies insurance eligibility for government payors; may complete Medicare questionnaire; reviews balances and forwards to Accounting.
• Works in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
