The Senior Patient Access Representative will report to the Patient Access Supervisor or Manager and provide patient services and administrative support in ancillary operations. Responsibilities include assisting with registration processes, supporting team training, ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, and interacting courteously with patients, parents, physicians, and staff. The role may involve scheduling, verifying demographic and insurance information, and floating to various ancillary access areas as needed. The candidate must be capable of completing at least one complex access function such as complex scheduling, bed management, or mentorship.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience: 3 years related experience (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge: Broad administrative and customer service skills, computer proficiency, Microsoft Office experience preferred, typing minimum of 35 words per minute, and completion of Patient Access training curriculum with passing competency assessments.
