Job summary

Qualifications

• Specialized experience is experience equipping you with knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position.
• GS-15 requires at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to GS-14.
• Specialized experience includes examining patents in art areas: biotechnology, biomedical, pharmaceutical, materials engineering, mechanical, business methods, electrical, computer, physics or chemical technologies.
• Selective Placement Factor: Must have full signatory authority.

Responsibilities

• Examine patents in listed art areas with search and examination responsibilities.
• Assess and document specialized experience and qualifications for higher grade levels.

Education

Graduate education in field appropriate to the position

LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school or bar
