Job summary

You will handle domestic and international matters, advise on IP strategies, and support litigation and licensing activities.

The position is full-time and in-person, with opportunities to collaborate with foreign counsel and drive business development efforts for a growing IP practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• At least 5 years of experience in patent prosecution.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Active USPTO registration.
• California Bar admission.
• Strong technical knowledge and patent experience.
• Excellent research, drafting, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare, and review patent applications.
• Respond to Office Actions from U.S. and foreign patent offices.
• Manage patent prosecution matters and examiner interviews.
• Draft and review trademark applications.
• Assist with patent litigation and IP licensing.
• Coordinate with foreign counsel and review international documents.
• Consult with clients and participate in meetings with prospects.
• Perform patentability, infringement, and due diligence analyses.
• Manage patent portfolios, deadlines, and dockets.
• Maintain records and use internal systems to manage assignments.
