Job summary

BCG Attorney Search seeks an experienced Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property and Technology Division in Kansas City, MO. You will draft and prosecute U.S. and foreign patent applications, provide patentability assessments, and assist with freedom-to-operate and due diligence analyses.

You will coordinate with foreign law firms, manage client portfolios, and oversee deadlines while collaborating with partners and staff in a fast-paced law firm environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
• Experience managing patent prosecution docket.
• Ability to collaborate with partners and legal staff.
• Law firm or in-house IP experience.

Responsibilities

• Draft and globally prosecute patent applications.
• Coordinate with foreign law firms for filing foreign patent applications.
• Maintain client patent portfolio and manage deadlines.
• Collaborate with clients for document processing and legalization.
• Review country requirements and obtain Foreign Filing Licenses.
• Delegate tasks effectively to paralegals and legal assistants.
