Job summary

The First Baptist Church of Penfield is seeking a Senior Pastor to serve as spiritual leader, preaching Biblically, shepherding the congregation, and providing administrative oversight.

You will partner with the church's leadership to fulfill its mission of glorifying God, making disciples, and serving the local community through worship, education, and outreach.

Strong communication, humble servant leadership, and 5+ years of pastoral ministry are expected.

Qualifications

• Evidence of mature faith and commitment to Baptist polity.
• Proven preaching, teaching, and pastoral care gifts.
• Strong intercultural and community engagement skills.
• Experience with church revitalization is a plus.
• Ordination by ABCUSA or related body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and lead Sunday worship services with the Teaching/Worship Team.
• Provide spiritual leadership, pastoral care, visitation, and counseling.
• Oversee Christian education for all ages.
• Lead church operations, staff supervision, and office governance.
• Collaborate with boards and ministry teams to advance mission.
• Engage with community groups and outreach activities.
