Overview

St. Paul's United Church of Christ is seeking a Pastor who excels in preaching and teaching, and who will help the congregation develop spirituality and lead Christ-centered lives. The Pastor will conduct weekly worship services that inspire members to embrace Jesus’ teachings and relate them to their lives.

Our History and Future

Our previous pastors served the church for over 10 years each, with the last serving over 19 years before retirement. After a year with an Interim Pastor focusing on our identity and calling, we are eager to welcome a new settled Pastor into our church family.

Our Community and Programs

We are committed to inclusivity, welcoming everyone regardless of where they are on their life journey. We aim to inspire through music, expand Christian programming for youth and adults, and actively support community outreach initiatives including the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, Kids Hope mentoring, CROP Walks, and Purple Moose Preschool.

Scope of Work

1. Spiritual Leadership: Guide, teach, and foster connection as Christ’s Church.
2. Worship Leadership: Prepare and lead Sunday services, select scriptures, craft liturgy, deliver sermons, coordinate music, and facilitate worship participation.
3. Pastoral Care: Provide counseling, visitations, officiate ceremonies, and promote community engagement.
4. Faith Formation: Deepen spiritual connections through prayer, Bible study, service, and resource identification.
5. Administrative Responsibilities: Collaborate on weekly bulletins, maintain website and social media, manage newsletters, and participate in meetings and program leadership.
