Job summary

First Baptist Church of Monroeville is seeking a Senior Pastor to shepherd our Christ-centered congregation and to faithfully preach God's Word while equipping believers for ministry. This role will lead with vision for outreach and growth, and will collaborate closely with leaders and volunteers in the Monroeville community.

The pastor will provide pastoral care, lead worship, administer baptisms and the Lord's Supper, and mentor the next generation of church leaders while maintaining a visible

About our Church

First Baptist Church of Monroeville [FBCM] is a welcoming, Christ-centered congregation affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA [ABCUSA] and ABCOPAD. Located just east of Pittsburgh, we are a financially stable church with a rich history, a heart for biblical teaching, and a growing passion for serving the community. Our pastor of 16 yrs retired, and we are now being pastored by an interim minister.

Our congregation is biblically focused on prayer, friendly, and committed to helping people grow as disciples of Christ. We value authentic relationships, meaningful worship, strong biblical preaching, and compassionate outreach.

One of our signature ministries is our Diaper Ministry [Love in Every Diaper], a community outreach that has provided over 350,000 diapers over the past decade. This ministry takes place monthly and provides families with infants and young children with diapers and related items. We also maintain active ministries for adults, children, and the surrounding community while seeking new opportunities to share the Gospel.

As we prayerfully seek God's direction, we are looking for a Senior Pastor who will shepherd our congregation, faithfully preach God's Word, equip believers for ministry, and help lead us into the next season of growth and outreach.

Position Summary

The Senior Pastor will serve as the spiritual leader of FBCM, providing biblical preaching, pastoral care, leadership, and vision while working alongside our congregation to fulfill Christ's mission in our community and beyond.
