Job summary

Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking a Senior Capital Projects Coordinator to lead planning, design, and construction for major capital improvements. You will coordinate with SPR divisions, City agencies, and community members to deliver projects on scope, on time, and within budget.

The role requires four years of project management experience and a relevant degree; proficiency in Procore and MS Project is expected, with a strong emphasis on public engagement and cross‑agency collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires minimum four years project or construction management experience.
• Bachelor degree in Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, Urban Planning or related field.
• Three years of computer use with Adobe products and project management software; Procore is a plus.
• Three years of experience in public outreach and engagement and construction management in a governmental setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, design and construction processes for capital improvement projects from initiation to completion.
• Build and lead project teams with involvement from multiple SPR divisions and external partners.
• Manage multiple projects across various planning/design/construction phases.
• Maintain adherence to scope, budgets, and schedules; update budgets and timelines.
• Utilize project management tools (Procore, MS Office) and assist in design reviews.
