Job summary

NOVA Parks seeks a Senior Ranger to assist in operating and maintaining park facilities. The role may assume charge of park operations in the manager's absence. The position pays $17.00 per hour and requires a flexible schedule for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include public information, enforcing park rules, patrolling grounds, handling cash, and supporting maintenance tasks as needed. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or can be obtained.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must have valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the public.
• Cash handling and register operation.
• Willingness to learn NOVA Parks operations.
• Flexible to perform duties of other part-time staff.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide information to the public and groups about park facilities.
• Inform visitors about park rules and regulations.
• Patrol park areas to ensure safety and security.
• Report accidents, vandalism, and theft.
• Assist with routine maintenance of equipment as needed.
• Handle visitor inquiries and provide assistance.
• May supervise other part-time staff.
