The position requires strong communication, cash handling, and basic computer skills, with flexibility for varied hours and weather conditions. A CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Possession of or ability to obtain valid driver’s license.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or obtainable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public.
• Able to operate cash registers and handle cash accurately.
• Willingness to learn NOVA Parks operations.
• Flexibility to perform duties of other part‑time staff as needed.
• Good computer literacy and ability to learn park systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with operation and maintenance of the park and facilities.
• Provide information to the public and groups about park facilities.
• Inform visitors about park rules and regulations.
• Patrol park to ensure safety of visitors and grounds.
• Report accidents, vandalism, and theft.
• Assist with routine maintenance and repairs.
• Support public relations by handling visitor inquiries and assistance.
• May supervise other part‑time staff.
• Handle monies and cash operations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and facilities.
• Maintain grounds by removing trash and mowing.
