Job summary

The State of Missouri is seeking maintenance staff to support the Katy Trail State Park (Mid-East Section) from Matson to Mokane and Treloar Mercantile area. Duties include skilled trades, building upkeep and grounds maintenance, with potential for weekend/holiday shifts and overnight trainings.

Role requires experience in trades, ability to operate diverse equipment, and willingness to obtain a CDL if needed. Benefits include a structured schedule and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Four to six years of on-the-job training in building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trades.
• Equivalents may substitute for required education or experience.
• Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled maintenance, repair or alteration of state buildings and facilities.
• Work in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete and masonry, painting and mechanical repair.
• Routine cleaning of park buildings, restrooms, campsites and grounds.
• Operate and maintain lawn mowers and heavy equipment.
• Assist with timekeeping, visitor assistance and reporting.
• Possess CDL if required within six months.
