Job summary

Lilly in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a senior Drug Product Formulation Scientist to advance parenteral drug products and complex formulations within BR&D. You will work with cross-functional teams to develop, optimize, and scale up manufacturing processes for proteins, peptides, and oligonucleotides.

Qualifications

• Earned bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmaceutics or pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, chemical engineering or related field
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience
• Experience in parenteral drug formulation development, manufacturing and aseptic technologies

Responsibilities

• Represent Drug Product team in CM&C teams and support formulation and process development of proteins, peptides, oligonucleotides and other novel modalities
• Hands-on experimental activities to support clinical development of parenteral drug products and complex formulations
• Build process capabilities for lab scale to early phase clinical scale and tech transfer to clinical manufacturing sites
• Collaborate with discovery, analytical, toxicology and device teams to develop patient-centric drug products
• Identify and spearhead research on new drug delivery technologies and establish proof of concept
