Job Title: Senior Paralegal (USAO)

The Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Senior Paralegal to support the US Attorney’s Office (USAO) mission. The role involves high-profile cases with litigation support and trial preparation. Candidates will also have opportunities to handle complex responsibilities and grow their eDiscovery skills.

Responsibilities
  • Works under the direction of a Supervisory Paralegal or a Project Supervisor.
  • Develops work products with minimal direct supervision; products are reviewed prior to submission.
  • Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for attorneys in discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents; summarizes depositions and transcripts; maintains case files; performs moderately complex legal research; synopsizes hearing transcripts; identifies conflicting statements; drafts legal memoranda and correspondence; indexes, tracks, and controls document discovery; tracks exhibits.
  • Prepares exhibit cross‑references.
  • Assists attorneys in courtroom.
  • Reviews documents for relevance and privilege per guidelines and criteria.
  • Other work includes compiling documents for FOIA, production requests, congressional inquiries, etc.
Qualifications
  • Paralegal certificate, JD, or current ABA‑accredited law student with at least one year of study, or equivalent legal training/experience; or equivalent education may be substituted.
  • At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year of automated litigation support.
  • Sound knowledge of the federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and resources.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient with legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw; computer proficiency in word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems—including Relativity, Excel, JEFS/Box.com, Word, Zoom, Teams, PowerPoint, and social media tools.
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
  • Consistently delivers high‑quality work under pressure; advanced Excel skills.
  • Professional, can‑do, customer‑service attitude.
  • US citizenship required; DOJ MBI obtainable.
Pay Range

Minimum required hourly wage: $31.00. Final salary depends on location, experience, skills, education and certifications. Benefits include healthcare, wellness, financial, retirement, family support, continuing education, and time‑off options.
