Qualifications

  • 1 year of specialized experience at the next lower grade or equivalent.
  • Reviewing and making determinations as to probable cause and/or the acceptability of evidence.
  • Evaluating petitions filed by individuals, attorneys, and/or entities seeking relief from seizures, penalties, fines, and/or liquidated damages.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a second line supervisor in the Fines, Penalties, and Forfeitures office (FPF).
  • Supervising day-to-day operations of the FPF service area and adjudication of cases.
  • Ensuring case files contain the correct supporting documentation.
  • Receiving, examining, and evaluating petitions filed by individuals, attorneys, or corporations seeking relief from forfeiture.
  • Serving as a national subject matter expert in FPF and representing OFO/CBP at meetings.
