Steptoe LLP is seeking an experienced paralegal to support litigation lawyers in Los Angeles. The role focuses on case management, document handling, legal research, discovery, and trial support, with exposure to e-filing and court procedures.

Bachelor’s degree required.
Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved school preferred.
7 or more years’ relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with lawyers to manage and organize litigation cases from inception to conclusion.
Maintain and update case files, including pleadings, discovery documents, correspondence, expert reports, and exhibits.
Prepare and manage case timelines, calendars, and deadlines to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with external parties, such as clients, witnesses, experts, vendors and opposing counsel.
Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and affidavits.
Enter time spent on tasks in the firm’s time entry system and meet annual billing hours.
