Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Paralegal to coordinate legal operations, compliance, and entity management across multiple jurisdictions. You will draft documents, manage filings, and provide notary/apostille services while guiding staff on policy compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with internal and external parties, supporting training, and managing document retention and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years of combined legal and administrative experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, and willingness to learn Portuguese.
• Willingness to become a certified notary.
• Experience researching on the Internet and legal resources.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience in project and/or process management for efficient workflow.
• Experience with MS Office and other relevant technology.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and writing skills, including drafting legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Draft and revise moderately complex legal documents and correspondence.
• Process legal financial and accounting documentation; prepare check requests and wires.
• Provide notary and apostille services as needed.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties across jurisdictions.
• Support budget development and delivery of training programs.
• Provide administrative support: schedule meetings, prepare minutes, track signatures, monitor deadlines.
