Job summary

The Nature Conservancy in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior Paralegal to coordinate legal operations, corporate governance, and compliance across Latin America and the Caribbean. You will manage official records, draft moderately complex documents, handle banking and funding compliance, and support cross‑jurisdictional coordination under the supervision of an attorney.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of legal/admin experience, fluency in English and Spanish with willingness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 5 years of combined legal and administrative experience or equivalent qualifications.
• Fluency in English and Spanish, willingness to learn Portuguese.
• Willingness to become a certified notary.
• Experience conducting internet and legal research.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience in project and/or process management for efficient workflow.
• Experience with MS Office and related technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including drafting/editing legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate legal operations, governance, compliance, and entity management across Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Draft and revise moderately complex legal documents and contracts for attorney review.
• Process legal financial and accounting documents, prepare check requests and wire instructions.
• Provide notary and apostille services as needed; coordinate with internal and external partners.
• Support budget development and training programs; manage meeting logistics and deadlines.
