Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Senior Paralegal – Labor & Employment to support the Legal Department's labor and employment functions. You will guide and assist the Paralegal – Labor & Employment and File Clerk positions as needed.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, briefs, discovery, and document production, and managing calendaring and court deadlines with accuracy. Experience in PHMI and in both state and federal litigation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in labor and employment matters.

Responsibilities

The Senior Paralegal – Labor & Employment provides paralegal support for the labor and employment functions of the Legal Department and provides guidance and support to the Paralegal – Labor & Employment, and File Clerk positions.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of two (4) years of experience in law firm or company setting performing legal tasks.
• Familiarity with and experience involving labor and employment matters.
• Familiarity with state and federal litigation, including court filings.
• Familiarity with the preparation of pleadings, briefs, discovery, and document productions.
• Familiarity with calendaring court deadlines and researching court rules.
• Minimum of one year experience with PHMI.

Preferred qualifications:

• Some college education preferred.
• Paralegal certificate preferred.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
