Job summary

ERM is seeking a Principal Technical Consultant, Paleontologist, to join our Global Cultural and Paleontological Resources Services team. This full-time, salaried role is based in a US ERM office and involves leading projects, mentoring staff, and supporting business development across North America.

You will provide technical excellence, QA/QC, and oversee investigations, permitting programs, and client relationships while collaborating with archaeologists and cultural resources professionals.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree required in a related Earth/Environmental discipline.
• 8+ years (10+ preferred) of professional paleontological resources experience.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Experience leading assessments, surveys, monitoring programs and agency consultation, NEPA knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for paleontological and cultural resource projects.
• Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Support strategic business development and client relationship management.
