Job summary

Silverthorne Advisory Group seeks a Senior data engineer with defense sector experience to translate complex workflows into Palantir Foundry, AIP, and Ontology-based solutions.

You will design data pipelines, build Ontology models, and develop interactive applications using Workshop, OSDK, and Quiver, while coding in Python, PySpark, TypeScript, and SQL. Active Secret clearance or higher is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience developing data-driven products and scalable technical solutions.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, AIP, or Ontology.
• Strong proficiency with the Transform API within Palantir Foundry.
• Experience building and managing batch and real-time data pipelines using Pipeline Builder and Code Repositories.
• Hands‑on experience implementing objects, links, Action Types, and Functions within Palantir Ontology, including the Object Data Layer.
• Experience designing interactive workflows and operational applications using Palantir Workshop, including its events system, widgets, and layouts.
• Ability to implement complex business logic using custom Functions in Python or TypeScript.
• Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, TypeScript, and SQL.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
• DoD Secret clearance or higher required; clearance sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex business and operational workflows into scalable solutions using Palantir Foundry, AIP, and Ontology.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Pipeline Builder, Transform API, and Code Repositories.
• Build and manage Ontology models using objects, links, Action Types, and Functions.
• Develop interactive, decision-focused applications using Workshop, OSDK, and Quiver.
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and agents using AIP Agent Studio, Logic, Evals, and Observability tools.
• Develop custom functions and integrations using Python, TypeScript, PySpark, and SQL.
• Collaborate with Palantir Forward Deployed Software Engineers (FDSEs) and internal technical teams to ensure scalable, reusable solutions.
