The successful candidate will work with minimal supervision, manage end-to-end decoration tasks, and support maintenance across multiple sites, including on-call duties and out-of-hours work when required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 qualified professional with experience diagnosing complex fabric faults and specifying remedial actions.
• Expert in applying specialist coatings including hygienic, epoxy, and fire-retardant products.
• Experience with heat-bonded wall coverings.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and maintain high safety standards.
• Strong focus on safety and compliance within healthcare environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high-precision painting and decorating across hospital estates.
• Diagnose underlying causes of decoration faults and specify remedial actions.
• Apply specialist coatings including epoxy, hygienic/clinical coatings, and fire-retardant products.
• Perform advanced wallcoverings tasks such as heat-bonded finishes.
• Inspect access equipment and conduct risk assessments.
• Work flexibly across Trust properties and participate in on-call/out-of-hours arrangements.
