Job summary

CarMax Locust Grove, GA, is seeking a Sr. Reconditioning Associate to ensure vehicles meet quality standards. In a climate-controlled shop, you will perform paint prep, primer, and refinishing tasks, and may support related roles to help deliver vehicles that meet customer expectations.

You’ll work with skilled technicians, gain hands-on experience, and receive training and growth opportunities as part of CarMax's commitment to employee development and excellence in service.

Qualifications

• Complete New Associate Orientation Training – Operations.
• Meet Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II and Flow Inventory Associate II Performance Standards.
• Achieve workstation certifications for Cosmetic Reconditioning Associate II, Flow Inventory Associate II, and Senior Reconditioning Associate.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert body repairs, including masking, sanding, and grinding.
• Apply primer and refinish paint surfaces to meet CarMax standards.
• Remove and replace parts as needed for cosmetic and structural integrity.
• Repair plastic and substrate damage with precision and care.
• Conduct post-paint refinishing, defect correction, and maintain and repair specialized equipment.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
