Job summary

AkzoNobel in High Point, NC seeks a Production Manager to supervise and manage all manufacturing, shipping, and receiving operations at our paints production facility. The role focuses on safety, quality, and delivering on-time production targets while upholding our standards and values.

You will lead a team, manage schedules, optimize processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement across the plant.

Qualifications

• Must have Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field.
• Experience in paint manufacturing or liquid batch manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with clear prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Lead, participate and contribute in all Health & Safety, Security and Environmental activities (SAFE meetings, BBS observer, HS&E training, Near Miss & AIRI reporting, Auditing, Housekeeping, 5S, Recycling, Waste Management, etc.).
• Manage and supervise manufacturing operations and factory operators.
• Establish production schedules and ensure actual production meets scheduled requirements.
• Assign daily tasks and activities to shift leaders.
• Ensure that all safety and work practices are followed, and that risk and waste are minimized.
• Monitor and analyze all stages of manufacturing processes to prevent or correct errors.
• Evaluate employee performance and conduct reviews; coach and discipline when appropriate.
