Job description

Position: Paid Media Campaign Manager - Senior Level

Location: Denver / Hybrid

Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

BLKDG is a digital agency based in Denver, focused on designing and developing multi-channel solutions that enable brands and customers to interact with each other. We are a team of designers, builders, planners, creators and collaborators, serving our clients all over the country. Our mission stems from the belief that building a website is finding the perfect balance between desirable, useful and usable.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Paid Media Campaign Manager to own the execution, optimization, and performance of paid digital campaigns across our client portfolio. This is a hands-on, senior-level role built for someone who lives and breathes PPC --- someone who gets genuinely excited about campaign structure, bid strategy, audience segmentation, and squeezing every dollar of ROAS out of a media budget.

You'll manage complex, multi-channel paid campaigns across a diverse set of clients and industries, bringing both the technical depth to build campaigns the right way and the analytical instincts to continuously improve them. You know the platforms inside and out, you stay ahead of what's changing, and you hold yourself accountable to results.

Key Responsibilities
Campaign Management & Optimization
  • Own the day-to-day management, optimization, and performance of paid campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
  • Build and structure campaigns from the ground up --- including account architecture, ad group organization, keyword strategy, match types, bidding models, and budget allocation.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword and audience research to identify high-value targeting opportunities that drive quality traffic and conversions.
  • Monitor and optimize bids, Quality Scores, impression share, and other performance levers on an ongoing basis to maximize efficiency and ROI.
  • Develop and manage negative keyword strategies, audience exclusions, and placement controls to eliminate wasted spend.
  • Continuously test ad copy, creative formats, extensions, and landing page variations to improve CTR, CVR, and overall campaign performance.
  • Manage campaign pacing and budget allocation across accounts, making real-time adjustments to keep spend on track and performance strong.
Strategy & Channel Planning
  • Develop full-funnel campaign strategies that align with client goals --- from awareness and consideration through conversion and retention.
  • Recommend the right channel mix, campaign types, and budget distribution based on client objectives, industry benchmarks, and audience behavior.
  • Build and implement audience segmentation strategies leveraging first-party data, remarketing lists, lookalike audiences, and behavioral targeting.
  • Design and execute A/B and multivariate testing frameworks across creative, targeting, landing pages, and bidding strategies to drive sustained improvement.
  • Integrate paid media strategies with organic search, content, and other digital channels to create cohesive, full-funnel approaches.
Reporting & Performance Analysis
  • Analyze campaign performance data daily, identifying trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities before they become problems.
  • Build and maintain clear, actionable performance reports and dashboards that translate media data into meaningful business insights.
  • Develop and maintain attribution models to accurately measure the impact of paid media across the customer journey.
  • Present performance findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and, when needed, directly to clients.
Collaboration & Platform Expertise
  • Partner with creative and design teams to brief, review, and iterate on ad creative that is platform-native and performance-focused.
  • Collaborate with web development and UX teams to ensure landing pages are optimized for conversion and aligned with campaign goals.
  • Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, beta features, and industry trends --- and proactively bring relevant opportunities to the team.
  • Contribute to internal process improvements, campaign templates, and best practices that elevate the quality and consistency of paid media work across the agency.
Qualifications
Required
  • 5 years of hands-on experience managing PPC and paid social campaigns, ideally within an agency environment managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads --- including Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max, and YouTube campaign types.
  • Strong working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and at least two additional paid social platforms (LinkedIn, Pinterest, TikTok, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of bidding strategies, audience targeting, match types, Quality Score, ad rank, and campaign structure best practices.
  • Experience managing significant media budgets with a track record of hitting or exceeding performance goals.
  • Strong analytical skills --- comfortable working in Google Analytics (GA4), building reports, interpreting data, and making fast, confident optimization decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients without letting things slip.
  • Clear, concise communicator who can translate performance data into plain-language insights for internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Experience owning client relationships, leading strategic planning conversations, or contributing to account growth --- we see client-facing skills as a strong differentiator for candidates who have them.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
  • Google Ads and/or Meta Blueprint certifications.
  • Experience with programmatic media buying and DSPs.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CRM integrations, and first-party data strategies.
  • Background in B2C eCommerce and/or B2B lead generation campaigns.
  • Familiarity with broader digital marketing channels --- such as SEO, email marketing, content strategy, or marketing automation --- is a huge plus. We value candidates who understand how paid media connects to and amplifies other channels, and who can think beyond the campaign to the full customer journey.
What We're Looking For

You're a campaign manager who takes ownership. You don't need to be told to check performance --- you're already in the platform. You spot inefficiencies before they show up in the report, you test things with purpose, and you know how to tell the story behind the numbers.

You're detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture, and you're always looking for ways to do better --- whether that's a smarter bid strategy, a tighter audience segment, or a more compelling ad. If paid media is your craft and performance is how you keep score, we want to talk.
