Job summary

Lactalis Heritage Dairy in Chicago, IL, is hiring a Sr. Packaging Project Manager to oversee packaging projects for yogurt, cheeses and powders. You’ll lead design to implementation, support plant production and quality operations, and travel up to 50% to various sites.

Responsibilities include budgeting, vendor quotes, and coordinating with Operations, R&D, and Maintenance. A strong background in dairy manufacturing and GMP/USDA or FDA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience on capital expenditure projects as project manager.
• Food industry and dairy process experience preferred.
• USDA or FDA regulated plant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings, scopes of work, budgets and timelines for project submittals.
• Source vendors, negotiate quotes, manage project budgets and costs.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to meet stakeholder needs in Quality and Operations.
• Attend FATs and assist in annual capital budget development.
