Job summary

Ring Container Technologies seeks an experienced packaging engineer to optimize core product line packaging, materials, and processes. You will lead design, prototyping, testing, and supplier collaboration to meet customer specs and drive cost savings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or packaging engineering, 5+ years in packaging, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or packaging engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial or consumer packaging.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
• Must have strong communication skills, orally and in writing.
• Understanding of plant operations and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge in 3D CAD software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate core product line manufacturing to find best practices for cost-effective solutions.
• Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in packaging materials, labor, and storage.
• Analyze specifications to determine optimal container materials and handling.
• Oversee new product development including design, prototypes, and testing.
• Develop test plans to ensure containers meet customer specs.
• Collaborate with suppliers, operations, product development, sales, and purchasing.
