Compunnel Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Packaging Engineer to lead the development and commercialization of innovative packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry.

The role emphasizes strong technical packaging expertise, cross-functional teamwork, and a focus on productivity and cost optimization. You will collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Product Development to define requirements, develop go-to-market packaging, and ensure compatibility

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level packaging science or engineering degree required.
• 4–10 years of professional experience in food and/or beverage packaging.
• Experience developing primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with timelines and budgets.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and commercialize packaging solutions for multiple distribution channels.
• Create packaging designs that optimize cost, efficiency, productivity, functionality, and protection.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and Product Development.
• Maintain accurate packaging specifications and technical documentation.
• Lead packaging projects from concept through development, testing, scale-up, and commercialization.
• Travel domestically 15–25% as required.
