Mars Snacking North America Chocolate Packaging Engineering team is seeking a Sr. Packaging Project Engineer to lead packaging equipment capital projects from business case through startup. You will direct design, installation and commissioning, validating systems to support factory dispatch.

The role requires 8+ years in packaging/food/beverage/pharma, a track record of >$5M projects, and ability to manage cross-functional teams and external contractors in a factory setting; 50% travel expected.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in a comparable technical position (food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related)
• Proven track record delivering capital projects >$5M
• Ability to lead cross-functional business teams and manage consultants/contractors
• Experience in safety, clean design, and food safety
• Strong communication and influencing skills
• 50% travel depending on project demands

Responsibilities

• Provide innovative Packaging Engineering solutions that drive a competitive advantage
• Scope and estimate capital projects that are technically feasible and align with plans
• Direct design, modification, installation, and integration of packaging systems
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Commercial and Finance to define objectives
• Ensure delivery of scope, timeline, budget, and cash flow per Engineering Work Process
• Lead commissioning, validation, and startup of equipment
• Develop engineering standards and tools and support safety/environmental policies
