Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Juncos, PR is seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to lead pharmaceutical packaging operations, driving process optimization, validation, and packaging material qualification. You will manage complex projects and collaborate across functions to meet GMP standards and quality requirements.

The role requires a Master’s or a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 2–4 years in pharma/biotech packaging, familiarity with ASTM/ISO standards, and strong English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering (or Bachelor's with 4 years) in pharma/biotech acceptable
• Experience in pharmaceutical packaging engineering and final product manufacturing
• Experience developing test protocols, evaluations, and supporting material qualification to industry standards (ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, USP, EP)
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, validation processes, and regulated documentation practices
• Experience with packaging materials qualification, testing, and technical documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced engineering support for pharmaceutical packaging operations
• Lead process optimization, troubleshooting, validation, and packaging material qualification activities
• Manage complex engineering projects and develop technical solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure GMP compliance, quality requirements, and business objectives
• Support design, testing, evaluation, and implementation of primary and secondary packaging systems
