Job summary

Kelly Engineering in Juncos, PR is seeking a Sr Packaging Engineer to lead pharmaceutical packaging operations, driving process optimization, validation, and packaging material qualification. You will manage complex projects and collaborate across functions to meet GMP standards and quality requirements.

The role requires a Master’s or a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 2–4 years in pharma/biotech packaging, familiarity with ASTM/ISO standards, and strong English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Engineering (or Bachelor's with 4 years) in pharma/biotech acceptable
• Experience in pharmaceutical packaging engineering and final product manufacturing
• Experience developing test protocols, evaluations, and supporting material qualification to industry standards (ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, USP, EP)
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, validation processes, and regulated documentation practices
• Experience with packaging materials qualification, testing, and technical documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

Salary : $45.00 hr - W2

Shift : 8hrs shift | Administrative - with work schedule flexibility as required to support 24/7 operations, requiring occasional after-hours engineering coverage.

Requirements:

• Master degree in Engineering and 2 yrs experience OR Bachelor degree in Engineering and 4 years of experience at pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
• Experience in pharmaceutical packaging engineering and final product manufacturing.
• Experience developing test protocols, performing technical evaluations, and supporting material qualification through ASTM, ISO, TAPPI, USP, EP, and distribution testing standards (ASTM D4169).
• Knowledge of GMP, GDP, validation processes, and regulated documentation practices.
• Experience with packaging materials qualification, testing, and technical documentation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
