Job summary

Sweet Apparel Inc. in Midtown Manhattan is seeking a Sr. Packaging Designer for a full-time, on-site role.

You will lead packaging design for beauty, personal care, and CPG products, develop 2D/3D renderings, and ensure branding across the portfolio.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years of packaging design experience and strong Adobe Creative Suite skills; compensation starts at $70k.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of packaging design experience, beauty or CPG preferred.
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Experience with die lines, print production, and packaging specs.
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare final production files with dielines, color callouts, and specs.
• Ensure packaging files remain organized, accurate, and production-ready.

Sweet Apparel Inc. is a leader in Juniors', Women's, Men's, and Kids' fast fashion apparel! Sweet Apparel designs, manufactures, and imports apparel under its own labels as well as multiple Private labels. Our clothing can be found at major retailers including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Macy's, and more! The Beauty category, SA Beauty, is Sweet Apparel's newest venture, expanding our trend-driven approach beyond fashion into cosmetics and personal care. We are looking for a full-time, Sr. Packaging Designer to join the team!

Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in the office 5 days/week!

Key Responsibilities

• Bring new product concepts into packaging design development
• Ensure packaging clearly communicates product benefits and brand messaging
• Work closely with the team to manage timelines and ensure packaging milestones stay on track
• Support teams with packaging visuals and storytelling tools when needed
• Develop 2D and 3D renderings to help visualize packaging concepts, merchandising, and retail presence
• Translate product positioning and brand strategy into packaging systems that stand out on shelf and resonate with consumers
• Develop creative concepts for packaging, seasonal kits, and limited-edition launches
• Partner with leadership to evolve the visual expression of the brand through packaging
• Oversee ongoing maintenance of existing packaging across the product portfolio
• Manage packaging updates including copy revisions, regulatory updates, SKU additions, and artwork changes
• Maintain packaging templates and systems to ensure consistency across product lines
• Prepare final production files including dielines, color callouts, and print specifications
• Work closely with vendors and manufacturers to ensure packaging executes as intended
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure packaging meets quality and brand standards
• Ensure all packaging files remain organized, accurate, and production-ready

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in packaging design (beauty, personal care, or CPG preferred)
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Experience working with die lines, print production, and packaging specifications
• Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and production
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously

Target compensation for this role starts at $70k, dependent on experience.
