Job summary

American Exchange Group in New York is seeking a Senior Manager, Packaging Design to lead hard & soft home packaging across bedding, bath, décor, and related products. You will drive concept through production and mentor one Senior Packaging Designer while partnering with Product Development, Merchandising, Marketing, Sourcing, Sales, and overseas factories.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years in packaging design leadership, expert Adobe CS skills, and a track record in off-price and retail

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive packaging design experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Strong background in home goods packaging for hard and soft categories.
• Expert knowledge of dielines, print production, materials, and vendor processes.
• Experience designing for off-price, mass, or department/retail channels.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall packaging design strategy for hard and soft home categories.
• Mentor and guide one Senior Packaging Designer and manage priorities.
• Develop innovative, commercially viable packaging concepts and specs.
• Oversee packaging from concept to production and delivery.
• Review dielines, mockups, files, and 3D renderings for accuracy.
• Collaborate with factories, printers, and overseas partners to resolve issues.
