Job summary

Conagra Brands in Omaha, NE seeks a technically oriented engineering leader to drive automation, packaging equipment design, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead cross-functional teams, develop Front End Loading packages, and provide economic feasibility analysis for strategic projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or Packaging Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in food manufacturing with packaging system design.
• Experience leading teams and solving complex technical challenges.
• Automation and robotics solutions experience in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, rollout, and govern key strategies and programs across the manufacturing platform.
• Develop labor-reducing and cost-saving automation projects with partners.
• Stay current with packaging equipment regulations and improve programs and goals.
• Provide technical and economic feasibility analysis to support business initiatives.
• Write functional control descriptions for unit operations and processing systems.
• Lead machine design improvements and equipment modifications.
• Conduct site surveys and support plant operations as needed.
