Job summary

Florida State University’s School of Physician Assistant Practice seeks a Principal Faculty member to teach, evaluate students, advise and mentor, and to serve as course director for PA program courses.

The role guides scholarly pursuits, participates in admissions, orientation, recruitment, and assessments; serves as advisor to a small cohort; contributes to accreditation and program improvement; attends meetings and supports grant development.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidate must hold PA-C with Master’s or higher, or an MD/DO/PhD from an accredited institution.
• Current NCCPA or physician board certification is required.
• Current Florida license or eligibility for licensure is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the PA program and serve as course director.
• Evaluate students, advise and mentor, actively participate in admissions and orientation.
• Guide scholarly pursuits and provide academic and career advice to students.
