Job summary

Universal Shield Insurance Group in Dublin, OH is seeking a Senior P&C Business Analyst to drive requirements across underwriting, claims, policy administration, and distribution. You will elicit and document business and technical requirements, translate them into BRDs, user stories, and test artifacts, and collaborate with developers throughout the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Insurance/Risk Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of Business Analyst experience in Commercial Property & Casualty insurance.
• Experience facilitating requirements sessions with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Strong writing skills and experience delivering BRDs, specs, user stories, and test artifacts.
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate requirements sessions with underwriting, claims, policy administration, and other units.
• Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage requirements for insurance systems and processes.
• Translate requirements into detailed documentation including user stories, acceptance criteria, and data mappings.
• Analyze processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers and development teams throughout SDLC.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT.
• Communicate requirements clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences including senior leadership.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and traceability matrices.
