Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Transmission Line Engineer III for its Southern California offices (San Diego, Los Angeles, Irvine) on a hybrid basis. You will route and design high‑voltage overhead lines (60kV–500kV) and support projects through all stages with a team.

Requirements include 5–10 years in overhead transmission, CA PE, and a BS in engineering; MS preferred. Salary ranges from $95,000 to $135,000 with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive overhead transmission engineering experience.
• QA/QC of a wide variety of T-Line project submittals.
• Experience with Power Line Systems software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Routing and design of transmission lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.
• QA/QC of model and job packages before submittals.
• Structure analysis and foundation design; cost estimation and documentation.
