Job summary

Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc. in Long Beach, CA is seeking a Counselor IV for a regular full-time onsite position in an outpatient setting serving clients with SUD and co-occurring disorders.

You will lead individual and group counseling, develop treatment plans with the multidisciplinary team, and provide crisis intervention while adhering to ASAM/JCAHO standards. A Master’s degree and licensure/certification as Associate or Psychological Associate are required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in the healing arts and appropriate registration.
• Registration as an Associate or Psychological Associate is required.
• Experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides crisis intervention on an as-needed basis.
• Attends weekly individual and group supervision.
• Facilitates educational groups using approved curriculum.
• Schedules and conducts regular 1:1 sessions with all assigned patients weekly.
• Develops and updates Individualized Treatment Plans with Case Manager and multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintains comprehensive progress notes per standards.

Education

Master’s Degree in the Healing Arts

Registered as Associate AMFT/ACSW/APCC or Psychological Associate

Registered/certified with CADTP/CCAPP/CAADE

Prior experience in behavioral healthcare
