Job summary

Adventist Health Roseville is seeking an experienced hospital coder to ensure accurate ICD-10-CM and CPT coding for SDS/OBV encounters. You will validate dates of service, support documentation, and assist with education for coding staff.

Located in Roseville, CA, this role requires five years of SDS/OBV coding experience, CCS certification, and competency with Cerner EMR. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits program is offered.

Qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required.
• Working knowledge of hospital Cerner EMR: Required.
• Five years' SDS/OBV coding and health care experience: Required.
• AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS): Required.

Responsibilities

• Reviews APC and payor denials; provide feedback to leadership and other departments.
• Performs outpatient audits including payor audits and coding accuracy audits.
• Maintains denial and audit spreadsheets and attends meetings for coding feedback.
• Researches and provides feedback and education to coding staff and leadership.
• Abstracts and assigns ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to ensure accurate APC assignment and reimbursement.
