Job summary

Lucid Motors in Newark, CA seeks a Senior Systems Engineer for Connectivity and OTA updates. The role defines MBSE deliverables for connectivity and OTA features, overseeing end-to-end systems engineering across ECUs, telematics, cloud services, and diagnostics.

You will collaborate with Functional Safety Engineers on safety concepts, coordinate with hardware and software teams for architecture, and guide validation plans while aiming for robust, elegant system designs in a fast-paced automotive

Qualifications

• 3+ years in systems engineering for Connected Vehicles/Embedded Systems/OTA.
• Experience with vehicle connectivity architecture (TCU, Modem, GNSS, antennas).
• Knowledge of cellular technologies, Wi‑Fi, and Bluetooth.
• Experience with ISO26262 and ASPICE conforming process models.
• Hands-on with bootloaders, secure boot, A/B partitioning, delta updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end systems engineering for the vehicle OTA software update ecosystem.
• Decompose vehicle-level OTA features to ECU-level and cloud/service requirements.
• Work with Functional Safety Engineers to support development of functional safety concepts.
• Define and execute verification and validation plans with test teams.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams on architecture and implementation.
• Coordinate with suppliers to validate component functionality.
• Support program management in lifecycle activities and release milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes.
