Job summary

General Motors Company seeks a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer focused on Vulnerability Exposure Management to lead OT/ICS risk-based remediation across manufacturing environments. You will translate cyber findings into plant-aware priorities, coordinate with plant IT and automation teams, and drive remediation programs with data-driven dashboards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity engineering, vulnerability management in manufacturing IT/OT/ICS.
• Knowledge of industrial networking and PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and plant-floor systems.
• Experience with remediation governance, dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead OT vulnerability and exposure management lifecycle for manufacturing IT/OT and ICS.
• Correlate findings from OT discovery platforms, scanners, CMDB, network data, and threat intel.
• Apply GM’s risk model to produce plant-aware risk ratings reflecting realities.
• Coordinate remediation with plant stakeholders to set target dates and owners.
• Establish KPIs tracking exposure reduction and remediation velocity.
• Build AI-enabled tooling for asset context enrichment and remediation automation.
