Job summary

EY seeks an experienced Security Architect – Operational Technology (OT) to provide architecture guidance and oversight for industrial environments. The role focuses on site-level design reviews, network segmentation validation, secure connectivity planning, exception analysis, and risk-based technical decisions.

The architect collaborates with cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, and operations teams to ensure OT solutions are secure, usable, and compliant.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, engineering, CS or related field.
• 8–10+ years in cybersecurity, infrastructure, networking, or security architecture.
• 5+ years supporting OT, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, segmentation and remote access.
• Experience reviewing designs against architecture standards and requirements.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder management, and risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Apply established OT cybersecurity standards and approved design patterns to site-level implementations.
• Review OT network, firewall, secure access designs for alignment with standards.
• Identify gaps between proposed implementations and architecture requirements.
• Recommend remediation options for design constraints or risk concerns.
• Support architecture reviews for site implementations and changes.
• Validate alignment with segmentation, zoning, firewall, remote access, monitoring expectations.
• Participate in design discussions for complex OT implementations.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to transition designs into steady-state operations.
• Provide input for risk assessments and remediation planning.
• Ensure documentation of architecture decisions and risk outcomes.
