Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced Security Architect – Operational Technology (OT) to provide architecture guidance and oversight for industrial environments. The role focuses on site-level design reviews, network segmentation validation, secure connectivity planning, exception analysis, and risk-based technical decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or in related field; advanced degrees a plus.
• 8+ years in cybersecurity, infra, networking, or security architecture roles.
• 5+ years supporting OT/manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, segmentation, secure connectivity, and remote access.
• Experience reviewing designs against architecture standards and requirements.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and risk-based decision skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply OT cybersecurity standards and approved design patterns to site deployments.
• Review OT network, firewall, secure access, monitoring designs for standard conformance.
• Identify gaps between proposed designs and architecture requirements.
• Recommend remediation options for design constraints or operational concerns.
• Support site architecture reviews and transitions to steady-state operations.
• Validate segmentation, zoning, firewall, remote access, monitoring alignment.
• Provide risk assessments and input for exception reviews and remediation planning.
• Ensure design decisions and risk outcomes are well-documented and justifiable.
• Review secure connectivity patterns and ensure Zero Trust alignment for OT users and devices.
• Develop reusable guidance and implementation patterns from site delivery experiences.
