Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources, LLC is seeking a technical lead to support and secure OT systems across renewable, battery storage, and fossil generation assets. The role focuses on implementing the OT Cybersecurity Program, RBAC, monitoring, asset inventory, and recovery capabilities while coordinating with Cybersecurity, SCADA, and IT teams.

Requires 4+ years in OT/ICS environments in the energy sector. The position emphasizes lifecycle management, system hardening, access control, and resiliency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, Engineering, Industrial Automation, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience supporting industrial control systems, SCADA systems, OT infrastructure, or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, backup technologies, and network infrastructure.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, DNP3), control systems, and OT environments.
• Experience supporting or maintaining: HMI systems, PLCs and controllers, RTUs and data concentrators, protective relays, DFR systems, SCADA platforms, industrial networking equipment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, access management, network segmentation, system hardening, monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience in power generation, electric utility, energy infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, or critical infrastructure environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers and maintains OT infrastructure supporting generation facilities.
• Supports installation, configuration, monitoring, patching, backup, recovery, and lifecycle management of OT components.
• Assists with deployment and sustainment of cybersecurity technologies in OT environments.
• Supports cybersecurity assessments, audits, remediation, and corrective action plans affecting OT systems.
• Coordinates with engineers, cybersecurity personnel, vendors, and plant personnel during design, testing, deployment, and support phases.
